What Headache Medicine Should You Use

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Health Related Article · Comment

Headache medicine is commonly prescribed to treat the pain frequently attributed to tension and stress headaches.  These headaches can become a daily nuisance for patients, striking seemingly at random and seriously impairing quality of life.  In some cases, headaches can become serious enough to cause an obstacle to daily functioning.  It is important to treat these headaches promptly, in order to bring quality of life back up to normal levels.

Over the counter medications such as ibuprofen, aleve, and acetaminaphen can all be effective treatments for headache.  In some situations, more powerful headache medicine may be required in order to resolve the problem.  Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can typically help in a significant fashion to reduce headache pain, but sometimes more serious measures must be taken.  Triptans are a more powerful family of headache medicine, and are usually prescribed to sufferers of migraine headaches.  Hormonal headaches can potentially be a cause of severe headache pain.  This kind of headache is due to shifting levels of hormone production, and are difficult to prevent.  Regular NSAID over the counter medication can also treat this variety of headache fairly effectively.

Sinus problems can also be a significant source of headache pain.  Under these circumstances, sinus pressure building behind the nasal cavity can trigger intense pain.  In severe cases, the excess mucus that has built up behind the nasal cavity can become infected.  When this happens, the pain can be quite severe.  A dull ache behind the eyes or nose is a good sign of such an infection, as is any swelling or blood discharge from the nose.  Decongestants, nasal sprays, and antibiotics can all act as effective treatments of are all good treatments for sinus infections, and may be necessary headache medicine.

In addition to headache medicine, preventative treatment is crucial.  Primary headaches are the most common kind of headache, and occur due to added tension or stress, either physical or emotional.  Stress management can be an effective way to treat headaches, thereby helping to prevent them.  Stress and tension headaches frequently develop as a band like feeling above the eyes.  This can act as a definite signal to take preventative measures.  Regular anti-inflammatories are typically a decent treatment when headaches begin to develop.  Further treatment can include biofeedback, or massage therapy.

How To Perform Natural Penis Enhancement Exercises

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Health Related Article · Comment

Several natural penile enlargement exercises and natural penile enlargement techniques can enlarge the male organ and decrease the chances of premature ejaculation. Such penile enhancement exercises are very effective as they have been passed from one generation to another, across many different countries. Though these exercises are relatively safe as opposed to the chemically induced penis pills, it would still be best to set up an appointment with your treating physician to make sure that you’re fit to perform them.

Below are 2 simple exercises that you can perform at home:

·         Jelqing

The exercise is called Jelqing or milking (because the exercise resembles milking of you penis). For this exercise, make sure your penis is erect but not fully erect. Rub some baby oil or penile lubricant on it to make the process smoother (not that it is painful). Create a circle, using your thumb and your forefinger, around the base of your shaft. The grip should be firm but not too firm, there should not be a feeling of discomfort. Slide the “OK” sign from the base of your penis to the tip below the head. As soon as your hand reaches the end of your shaft, have the other hand do the same process, which will seem like you are milking your penis continuously. Use a fast to moderately fast pace. Do not ejaculate! This exercise also teaches you how prevent premature ejaculation. You can do this exercise for 20-30 minutes depending on your tolerance.

This exercise is said to increase the length and girth of your penile size. Although results are permanent, it is best to continue performing these exercises, just like with regular exercises, the tone needs to be maintained.

·         Kegel exercise

If you think this is only for women think again. The benefits of this exercise are as follows: farther ejaculation, rock hard and lasting erections and according to certain physicians it even keeps prostate cancer away. This exercise is done to strengthen the pubbocoxygennus muscle, also called as the PC muscle.

To do this, you have to find the PC muscle. It’s the muscle which you contract to immediately stop peeing. {Feel that muscle you had to use for that? Have you located the muscle you used?} That muscle you used to stop urinating is the PC muscle.

This is a very subtle exercise that you can do practically anywhere at any time, as long as you’re immobilized. Squeeze and then release you PC muscles from 20 to 30 times a day then you gradually increase it to 80-100 repetitions a day, then up to 300 a day. This may seem quite hard (no pun intended) but getting the reward of a harder erection and a longer rate in the sack is a good enough incentive.

These have to taken seriously, just like regular fitness exercises, whereas perseverance always pays off. Don’t try to outsmart everyone with the cheap natural male enhancement formula pills. They never worked and will probably not work in the near future. You really have to take this challenge into your own hands (literally) and make it happen.

diabetes diet information

Over the last twenty to thirty years the diabetes diet menu has changed drastically.Diabetics were thought to have to stay away from table sugar period back then.Today we understand much more about diabetes, for instance we know now that a diabetic person is able to eat table sugar, but should eat it in very small quantities and should be part of a variable diet.Eating less fatty foods and less processed foods with lower portions of protien and eating more fresh foods is exactly what doctors are reccomending that all humans be eating to stay healthy, well guess what this is very close to being identical to what a diabetes diet is also.

You Can Still Eat Food

Finding diabetes diet books, recipes and suggestions are easier now than they ever have been.  This is not only due to the Internet, but due to the demand of diabetics worldwide.  Diabetic and hypoglycemic diet books and programs are available from your bookstore, library to even your supermarket.  You might also want to check out what’s called the Glycemic Index diet which has been developed over decades.  There are many books, websites and even professional diet programs that cater to Glycemic Index diets.

You don’t need to get hard to find ingredients for diabetes diets.Todays cookbooks and recipe books that are aimed at diabetics have a lot of ingredients that you are able to find at just about any grocery store, even the worse off diabetic gluten intolerant people can find everything they need at your local stores.  The important thing is portion control. You can usually eat anything you like but you must eat in moderation and small portions also.Learning to eat regularly is something else that will have to be learned. If you have diabetes and you are thinking of doing something like a colon cleansing or any other type of a program, please don’t do it!

Can You Eat Out?

Yes, you can still eat out, provided you know in advance what you can order.  Even if you get a huge plate of meat and potatoes, don’t eat all of it and insist on having veggies with it (and not just a sprig of parsley).  Eating slowly helps your body adjust. One of the best advantages of having diabetes today is that you are part of a growing number of people with money that the big chain restaurants want to get there hand on.  Always be sure of what you are ordering – never be afraid to ask questions.  If you go online to the American Diabetes Association website (www.diabetes.org), you will find a lot of tips and suggestions for eating out on a diabetes diet.

It would behoove you to have regular exercise and follow ups with your doctor even though you are following a diabetes diet plan, you should also make sure that you are taking your medication as the doctor has prescribed for you.  Eating right won’t solve all your health problems, but it will certainly make less health problems for you. When it comes to taking better care of your diabetes this is one of the best ways of doing it.

Cause Of Headaches Tips - Information about the Cause Of Headaches

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Health Related Article · Comment

For an updated version of causes of headaches and more info about headache types check out relieve headache

Although medical science cannot pinpoint the exact cause of headaches in a patient, some of the most common causes are related to everyday stress.  Headaches are broken down in the medical community into a few categories that assist in diagnosis.  A primary headache occurs to millions on a daily basis.  Primary headaches are what the majority of headaches can be diagnosed as, and are almost never life threatening.  Despite this frequency of occurence and a lack of life threatening danger, a primary headache can be very painful.  Cluster headaches are a much rarer and far more painful variety, that although not life threatening, can cause debilitating pain.  Secondary headaches are caused by a structural or chemical problem in the brain.

Most primary headaches are related to tension.  The muscles that surround the skull sometimes contract, putting too much pressure on the head.  This can be a significant source of pain.  Although the reasons for skull muscle contraction are difficult to ascertain, it is commonly seen as a result of emotional or physical stress.  Significant emotional stress usually leads to cranial pressure, and therefore a tension related headache.  Prolonged physical stress, such as hard manual labor that is engaged in for several hours, can also result in headaches caused by tension.

Cluster headaches happen less frequently, and typically only occur in a small portion of the population.  Sufferers usually experience cluster headaches only for a small window of time, thus the name “cluster” headache.  This can make prevention and treatment difficult.  When a cluster headache occurs, severe and debilitating pain usually follows.  Water running from the eyes and nose are common with cluster headaches.  A cluster headache should be treated as soon as possible.

Secondary headaches usually represent a more serious issue.  This is much rarer than primary headaches.  A secondary headache can be indicative of internal bleeding in the brain, a tumor, or a malfunction of the brain.  Headaches that occur frequently or on a regular basis should be cause for a check with the doctor.  Secondary headaches sometimes present with severe pain and sensory issues.

So, You’re A Victim Of Hair Loss, Hair Restoration Clinic or Hair Restoration Products?

February 28, 2009 · Filed Under Health Related Article · Comment

So you have decided that hair restoration and hair transplants are for you. Well, that’s great news but the question is not whether you are qualified because of health issues but whether you are financially qualified for it. Are you ready to face the altitude-high price of hair restoration? If you are very much concerned with your “shiny” problem, finances would not really pose as a “threat” or issue but anyhow, there are things you should need to know regarding a hair restoration clinic and how much it can cost when availing of its hair loss services.

Since the cost of hair restoration and hair transplants can vary wildly between the surgeons who perform this procedure, it is important to do your research to find out not only where you can get the best hair transplant but also where you can get the most and best bargain for this kind of remedy. There are some hair restoration clincis that charge per graft while there are others that charge per transplant session. There is also such variety in the amount of transplanted hairs that your surgeon will be able to graft at one time.

For example, in an average rate, one graft can range from 1-5 strands of hair. Hair transplant centers also vary in what they can do since a few of these hair restoration clinics are capable of using a thousand grafts to replenish any where between 1000 and 1500 grafts and yet another center will be able to replace between 2000 to 4000 strands of hair. True, true, although strange, but it’s really true. That’s why, you have to find a hair restoration center that can really offer services in a not-so-expensive way. If you can only find the time to go from one place to another looking for the best you can choose, it would do good for you. But that’s the main issue. With so many of these clinics sprouting like daisies from under the snow, you will really have a hard time choosing one even within your area and /or within your budget. But there is sure to be a solution. Have you tried to search for them all over the Information Highway?
